Despite being quite young, this whisky brings a range of intriguing notes to the table, with the deliciously floral Akashi spirit combining perfectly with hints of dried fruits, sticky dates and cinnamon spice imparted by the sherry cask.

The White Oak distillery is perhaps the least known of Japan’ whisky producers. The distillery was founded by in 1888 to produce sake, and because of this, has a legitimate claim of being the country’s oldest whisky producer. In 1919, Eigashima Shuzo obtained a license to make whisky — four years before Yamazaki was built. This White Oak Akashi was matured in a bourbon barrel for 5 years. This is a first fill whisky, if you want to try something truly exotic with only limited number of bottles ever released, then this whisky should be for you!
